This opportunity is for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide specialized services in an elementary school setting serving PreK through 5th-grade students. The position requires delivering bilingual speech therapy in Spanish and working with a caseload of 65-70 students.
Location: Bastrop, TX
Position Type: Contract, CSY (Contract School Year)
Duration: Start ASAP – May 27, 2026
Workweek: 37.5 hours, 5 days per week
Work Setting: Hybrid (on-site required 3 days per week; days may vary; virtual option available for SLPs fully compliant with testing and service requirements)
Qualifications and Credentials:
- Active Texas SLP License or Active SLPA License
- Bilingual therapy proficiency in Spanish is essential
- Experience working with school-aged children (PreK-5th grade)
- Ability to manage a caseload of 65-70 students
- Must be comfortable working on-site as described and using district-provided computers and testing materials
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and therapy sessions tailored to student needs
- Maintain compliance with all district and state regulations for speech-language services
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Provide bilingual therapy that supports English and Spanish language development
