A contract opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential services in Baltimore-area schools serving students from preschool through middle school. This role supports K-12 student populations across multiple school locations, offering both full-time and part-time assignments with potential extensions into extended school year (ESY) services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to students in preschool, elementary (PreK – 5), and secondary (6th – 8th) educational settings.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-A) in delivering supportive services, particularly in secondary school assignments.
- Manage caseloads itinerantly across community preschool sites, Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School.
- Maintain compliance with all licensure and district background check requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Familiarity with House Bill 486 requirements, including district background checks and employment history verifications.
- Experience working with students in preschool through middle school age groups.
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Prior supervisory experience of SLP-As is preferred for secondary assignments.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time positions (37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday) and part-time positions (30 hours/week, Monday–Thursday) available.
- Assignments begin January 9, 2026, with varying contract periods through June and potential ESY work in July 2026.
- Work will be onsite within Baltimore-area schools and community preschool locations using itinerant service delivery.
