Speech-Language Pathologist in Glen Burnie, MD
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year within a K-12 public school setting in the Baltimore, MD area. This contract position offers several unique assignments supporting preschool through middle school populations, with a focus on individual and group therapy services.
Assignments include:
- Preschool services delivered itinerantly across community preschool locations, 5 days per week
- Elementary level speech therapy at Magnolia Elementary (3 days/week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days/week)
- Middle school coverage at Aberdeen Middle School providing direct therapy and supervision of an SLP Assistant
Key responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapy intervention aligned with IEP goals for students from preschool through 8th grade
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student progress
- Supervise and mentor Speech Language Pathology Assistants (for middle school assignment)
Qualifications:
- Current, active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC required)
- Experience working with pediatric populations across multiple developmental levels (preschool to middle school)
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques and manage caseloads in diverse educational settings
- Strong organizational skills for itinerant assignments and teamwork with school personnel
Work schedule options:
- Full-time: 37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday (two openings)
- Part-time: 30 hours/week, Monday through Thursday (5-day schedule optional)
Contract periods:
- Preschool itinerant from January 9, 2026 – ongoing
- Elementary school from February 16 – May 29, 2026 (with potential extension into Extended School Year in July)
- Middle school from March 16 – June 18, 2026 (with potential extension into Extended School Year in July)
