A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide vital services in an elementary school setting, serving students from Pre-K through 8th grade. This contract position spans the current school year and offers a rewarding chance to work with a diverse caseload of 40-50 students split between two schools. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting both bilingual and monolingual children in achieving their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a mixed caseload of bilingual and monolingual students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school-based speech therapy.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or school-based SLP credentials).
- Must be bilingual to meet the needs of the student population.
- Experience with IEP development and implementation.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 40-50 students across two school locations.
- Candidates in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) will be considered.
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or voco experience will be accepted.
Location: Austin, TX – work is divided between two elementary schools.
