A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within an elementary school setting in Austin, TX, offering a contract position for the current school year (CSY). This role is ideal for bilingual professionals who are passionate about working with a diverse student population ranging from Pre-K through 8th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 40-50 students across two schools, providing a mixture of bilingual and monolingual speech-language services
- Develop and implement individualized IEP goals and plans in accordance with special education guidelines
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and progress monitoring to support student communication needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to optimize student outcomes
- Provide therapy sessions in accordance with best practices and school requirements
Qualifications:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC, CFY, or School SLP credential)
- Bilingual proficiency is required to effectively serve a diverse student population
- Experience working in schools with Pre-K to 8th-grade students
- Must have prior experience with IEP development and implementation
- Candidates holding a Clinical Fellowship (CFY) are welcome; however, SLPA candidates and those specializing exclusively in vocology will not be considered
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on collaborative teamwork
