A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a therapeutic center serving K-12 students in Joliet, IL. This contract position spans the remainder of the current school year and involves providing specialized diagnostic and early childhood speech therapy services to a small caseload. The role supports students in a structured, in-person environment focused on comprehensive evaluations and targeted therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations for students with speech and language needs.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to early childhood students (caseload of 9-10 students) twice per week in the afternoons.
- Manage timely report writing and documentation on non-therapy days.
- Participate in meetings related to student progress and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Deliver all services onsite; virtual therapy is not available in this setting.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with K-12 students.
- Familiarity with diagnostic procedures and early childhood caseload management.
- Ability to work effectively within a therapeutic center environment.
- Strong organizational skills for balancing therapy, diagnostics, and administrative tasks.
