A Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support special education services across multiple school locations in the Aurora, IL area through a cooperative providing services to 18 districts. This position will primarily serve K-12 students in structured learning environments designed for children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities.

Work Locations Include:

  • Two classrooms at a high school in Villa Park, IL
  • One classroom at a high school in Addison, IL
  • One classroom at an intermediate school in Westmont, IL
  • Two classrooms at an elementary school in Downers Grove, IL

Assignment Details:

  • Duration: Immediate start through approximately May 28, 2025 (end date may vary by school)
  • Hours: Full-time, approximately 35 to 37.5 hours per week
  • Caseload: Serve 3 to 4 self-contained classrooms, each hosting 6 to 8 students within the Structured Learning Environment (SLE) program

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech-language therapy and interventions in line with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with special education teams to support communication development in autistic and intellectually disabled students
  • Assess, document, and monitor student progress, adapting therapy plans as needed
  • Communicate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate student success

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement
  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
  • SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered
