Pediatric School Speech Therapist - Aurora, Illinois
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers an engaging opportunity to work within a K-12 school setting, providing services to a caseload of 40-45 students in grades K-6. The role is based in Aurora, IL, and is available on a contract basis for the upcoming school year, with an ASAP start date.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric clients within the school environment. The position operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule focused on student needs. You will work independently without support from Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and will not utilize VOCAL speech tools.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working in school settings, ideally K-12 education
- Ability to manage a K-6 caseload independently, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Skills in teletherapy and pediatric speech-language services are highly valuable
- Coursework or experience as a Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidate is welcomed
Location: Aurora, Illinois, K-12 school-based setting
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Job Duration: Contract through the full school year
