SLP in Joliet, IL
Provide specialized speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school environment located in Joliet, IL, for the 2025-2026 contracted school year (08/13/2025 – 05/27/2026). The role focuses on supporting primarily elementary and middle school students, with an emphasis on those enrolled in an Autism program. Caseloads typically consist of 35-40 students.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and special education teams to integrate support effectively.
- Maintaining detailed documentation and compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participating in in-person meetings and professional development as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license or temporary license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; candidates who are Clinical Fellows (CF) with agency-provided mentorship are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, particularly with Autism spectrum disorders, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work onsite during standard school hours (8:15 AM – 3:15 PM).
- Commitment to in-person service delivery; remote work is not applicable for this position.
This position offers the opportunity to engage in a rewarding educational setting within a Special Education co-op, contributing to the development of students requiring speech-language intervention.
