A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a K-12 school setting. This position is a leave replacement contract located in Elgin, IL, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in the educational journey of children and adolescents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments to identify students' communication needs
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans for students with speech and language impairments
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and student performance
- Providing consultation to classroom staff regarding speech-language strategies and accommodations
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (State license required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is strongly preferred
- Experience working within school systems from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and educators
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
