School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Aurora, Illinois
A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in Aurora, IL. This position is designed to cover a leave of absence, offering a valuable chance to provide specialized speech and language support to students across kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student education plans (IEPs)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working as an SLP in a school environment (K-12)
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders as related to school-aged children
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritize treatment plans effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and staff
Location: Aurora, Illinois
Contract Duration: Leave coverage; specific length based on need
