School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Aurora, Illinois
A part-time opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support within a school setting. This contract-to-hire position is based in Aurora, IL, offering the chance to assist an experienced SLP with a large and dynamic caseload focused primarily on early childhood students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the current SLP to manage and support a comprehensive early childhood caseload.
- Conduct therapy sessions and interventions designed to improve speech and language skills in young children.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in line with school and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Adapt therapy techniques to suit diverse learning needs and environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified or eligible to work as an SLP (CCC or CFY) or SLPA in a school setting.
- Experience working with young children, ideally in early childhood education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a collaborative team.
- Available to work two days per week, preferably Wednesday and Thursday.
