A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specialized in pediatrics to support K-12 students in Aurora, IL. This contract role spans the normal school year (NSY) and offers meaningful work in a K-12 educational environment focused on speech and language development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students across grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student communication goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with educational and healthcare regulations
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to pediatric populations within the school setting
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA
- Experience working as an SLP in pediatric settings, preferably in schools
- Familiarity with school-based therapy procedures and educational standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in Illinois is preferred or the ability to obtain it
