State Requirements for Colorado:
To be eligible for this opportunity in Colorado, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Valid Colorado SLP license issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider License required for school settings
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred; CFs are encouraged to apply
- Must meet district and state clearance guidelines
This role involves direct support to students with speech and language needs in a school setting. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting formal assessments to identify communication delays or disorders
- Creating and managing individualized IEP goals
- Delivering direct therapy in one-on-one and group formats
- Collaborating with special education staff, teachers, and families
- Keeping accurate and compliant documentation
