Speech-Language Pathologist Job Duties

Conduct assessments and evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication needs

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
-
Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings
-
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
-
Monitor and document student progress toward communication goals

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
Federal and State Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
Current Colorado state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Colorado school districts
