A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a center-based program serving grades K-5. This role is located in Aurora, CO, and involves working five days a week with students who have intellectual disabilities, some of whom use communication devices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments.
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services according to each student's IEP.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to optimize student outcomes.
- Manage caseload as determined during the interview process.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly with intellectual disabilities.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
