School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Auburn, New York
Located in Auburn, NY, this contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position serves K-12 students with a primary focus on elementary-aged children and some high school students. The role runs from September 2025 through June 2026, offering a hands-on opportunity to provide essential speech and language services within an elementary school setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify individual student needs
- Developing and implementing targeted therapy plans tailored to each student
- Providing direct therapy services to approximately 28 students, mainly elementary-aged
- Collaborating with teachers and school staff to ensure effective accommodations and modifications
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as necessary
- Actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contributing to goal setting
- Offering guidance and resources to parents and caregivers for continued support
Desired qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with education teams
- Familiarity with IEP procedures and educational regulations
