Speech Language Pathologist Job Duties

Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

Provide direct therapy in individual and group settings

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress

Conduct screenings and monitor progress to adjust interventions as needed

Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements

Provide staff training and parent education to promote speech and language development
Federal and State Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
Valid Georgia state licensure or eligibility as a Speech Language Pathologist

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered
-
Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Georgia school districts
