Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Redwood City, CA
Contract Period: November 1, 2025 – June 6, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (8 hours/day, Monday through Friday)
About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to serve as an Early Childhood Evaluator within our team in Redwood City, California. This full-time contract position is focused on providing comprehensive speech and language evaluations for preschool-aged children, supporting their developmental milestones and readiness for school.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and at least one additional language, with a passion for working with young children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring equitable access to early intervention services through accurate and culturally sensitive assessments.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations for preschool children, employing bilingual assessment techniques and tools

Write detailed reports summarizing evaluation results and providing recommendations for intervention and support

Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to discuss findings and develop individualized plans

Participate actively in eligibility meetings and contribute clinical insights to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development

Maintain timely and accurate documentation compliant with local, state, and federal requirements

Communicate assessment processes and results effectively to families in their preferred language, ensuring cultural responsiveness

Stay current with best practices in early childhood speech-language pathology and bilingual assessment methods
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline

Active California license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Proficiency in English and one additional language (Spanish preferred, but other languages are welcomed)

Experience conducting evaluations with young children, preferably in school or early intervention settings

Knowledge of IDEA regulations, early intervention services, and IEP procedures

Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competence in working with diverse populations

Ability to work independently while managing multiple evaluations and deadlines
