Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Remote – school is based in California
Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Are you an experienced and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist looking to make an impact while working from home? We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Virtual SLP to provide remote therapy services to students for a school district in California. This role offers the flexibility to work with a diverse caseload, including students of all ages and various disabilities, all while delivering meaningful support to their communication development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing direct and indirect speech therapy services through teletherapy, ensuring each student’s needs are met in an engaging, remote setting
- Managing a varied caseload, which could change based on district needs, including the age of students and the range of disabilities they have
- Conducting thorough assessments, crafting individualized therapy plans, and delivering tailored services to help students achieve their goals
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and other school staff to create a cohesive support network for each student
- Maintaining accurate documentation of therapy services, progress updates, and IEP requirements
- You hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication and Science Disorders
- You are ASHA certified (CCC-SLP) and licensed in the state where you’re living and California
- You have 2 years prior experience in school-based speech therapy
- You’re tech-savvy and comfortable using teletherapy platforms to engage students in a meaningful way
- You thrive when working independently in a remote setting
