School Speech Therapist - Arvada, Colorado
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with experience in school settings. This position supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade, providing essential speech and language therapy services within a school environment.
Location: Arvada, CO
Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques accordingly
- Provide consultation and resources to teachers and parents to support communication development
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations for school-based therapy services
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as an SLP or SLPA with school-based experience
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders common in school-age children
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
