A licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide in-person services for a K-12 school in Arnold, MD. This is a 12-week leave coverage contract starting approximately February 1st. The role focuses on delivering specialized speech and language support primarily to elementary-aged students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to a fluid caseload of approximately 45-50 students
- Work primarily with students identified with Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Language Impairments
- Deliver services mainly outside the general education classroom setting
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports adhering to school and state requirements
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to inform intervention plans
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified Speech Language Pathologist for the state of Maryland
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12), preferably with a focus on elementary students
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders including OHI, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairments
- Ability to provide in-person therapy; virtual services are not permitted for this position
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage a fluctuating caseload
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, 5 days per week (approximately 37.5 hours)
- On-site position located in Arnold, MD
