A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support an elementary school caseload within Prince William County Public Schools in Manassas, VA. This contract role offers the opportunity to work on-site or via VOCO, providing flexibility while delivering essential speech and language services to young learners. The position is scheduled for 28 hours per week over four days during the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized speech-language therapy for elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other specialists to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with educational guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
- Ensure speech-language interventions comply with the current Virginia state licensing standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Virginia licensure in Speech-Language Pathology is mandatory
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
- Knowledge of school-based language development and educational regulations
