Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Dallas, TX
A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in English and Spanish is needed for a contract position serving K-12 students in the Dallas, TX area. This role focuses on supporting a school district's evaluation team, providing speech-language services primarily to early learners in a hybrid itinerant setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for students, primarily K-5.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to monitor progress and adjust services.
- Complete detailed reports and documentation, with one day per week designated for remote paperwork.
- Utilize district resources, including test kits and technology, to support assessment and intervention.
- Participate in evaluation team activities as part of the district’s comprehensive support system.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Experience working with children in a school setting, ideally from K-5.
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple campuses.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
Location and Schedule:
- On-site in Mesquite, TX, serving multiple campuses with a hybrid option for remote work one day per week.
- Contract duration from ASAP through May 28, 2026.
- Up to 30 hours per week, offering full or part-time flexibility.
