Speech Language Pathologist in Arlington, TX
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Arlington, TX, serving an elementary school setting. This contract assignment supports two full-time roles covering maternity leaves within a busy school district. The role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with young students from PreK through 5th grade across two campuses, contributing to their communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy services to students ranging from PreK to 5th grade.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and assessments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development.
- Manage caseloads of approximately 40-53 students, depending on the assigned campus.
- Work onsite at designated elementary schools, including occasional responsibilities across multiple locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) is highly preferred.
- Candidates with Clinical Fellowship (CF) status may apply if supervision arrangements are pre-established, as the district cannot provide supervision.
- Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in school-based settings and with early childhood to elementary-aged students is strongly desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to work within a collaborative educational environment.
Assignment Details:
- Contract duration aligned with school year maternity leaves, starting ASAP through January with possible extensions through April.
- Full-time schedule, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
- Position requires onsite presence at elementary school campuses.
