Speech Language Pathologist in Aurora, IL
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide services for K-12 students with moderate to severe communication challenges. This contract position involves supporting two school locations in the Chicago area, specifically Wheeling and Palatine, Illinois. The role offers a part-time schedule with potential for full-time based on further details, working Monday through Friday.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) credential required
- Experience providing SLP services within school settings (K-12)
- Familiarity with teletherapy delivery methods preferred
- Skilled in working with students exhibiting moderate to severe communication disorders
- Ability to travel between two school locations daily
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ specific needs
- Provide direct therapy services addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with educational guidelines and regulations
- Utilize teletherapy platforms when appropriate to deliver remote services
Location and Schedule:
- Work occurs across two school sites located in Wheeling and Palatine, Illinois, within the greater Chicago area
- Monday through Friday schedule with part-time hours; full-time possibility to be determined
