Speech and Language Pathologist in Apopka, FL
This position offers a full-time opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services across a K-12 school setting in Apopka, FL. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Travel to various schools within the district to support students’ diverse communication needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with professional standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success strategies.
Qualifications:
- Valid, professional licensure as an SLP.
- Experience working with school-aged children in a school-based setting.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and independently.
- Comfortable providing itinerant therapy services across multiple locations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
Location:
- Apopka, Florida with travel to various schools within the district.
Additional Details:
- Contract position for the current school year, starting ASAP through May 29, 2026.
- Full-time hours preferred; part-time candidates will also be considered.
- This role does not accept Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates.
- The district is highly responsive, offering quick interview scheduling.
- One school assignment primarily, with itinerant coverage as needed.
