SLP in Apex, NC
This full-time opportunity is designed for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) eager to provide comprehensive school-based services within a K-12 setting. The position is based in Apex, NC, serving multiple schools with a focus on delivering effective interventions and supporting students’ communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to students across assigned schools, including Rolesville Middle School (full-time caseload), Pleasant Union Elementary, and Harris Creek Elementary School.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conduct evaluations, track student progress, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in meetings and professional development activities to support student success and stay current with best practices.
- Tele-supervision is permitted, though on-site presence is preferred.
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
- Valid professional license and educator certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience with school-based services and familiarity with IEP processes.
- Ability to manage and support multiple caseloads effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and school personnel.
- Flexibility to provide therapy both in-person (preferred) and virtually, if necessary.
Location and Schedule:
- Based in Apex, NC, within Wake County Public Schools.
- Full-time contract from ASAP through June 11, 2026.
- Approximately 37.5 hours per week.
