School Speech Therapist | Saint Paul, Minnesota
A temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available to provide direct therapy services in an elementary school setting within the Anoka-Hennepin district. This contract position is ideal for candidates holding an SLP license or holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), including those who are Clinical Fellows (CFs). Note that Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) are not eligible for this assignment.
Located in the Saint Paul metropolitan area, this full-time position (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday) begins December 15, 2025, and continues through May 29, 2026. You will be delivering onsite services primarily focused on direct therapy, supporting multiple maternity leave coverage across several elementary schools in Brooklyn Center and Blaine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy using a 3:1 service delivery model (three weeks direct service followed by one week indirect service)
- Manage elementary school caseloads, which include typical students and some requiring Setting III services within Community Day Classroom (CDC) settings
- Collaborate with a separate evaluation team; this role does not involve conducting evaluations
- Adapt services to meet the varying needs of students across multiple locations on specified schedules throughout the contract period
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license or CCC required; Clinical Fellows welcome
- Experience working with elementary school populations, including special education settings
- Ability to travel between school sites as assigned
- Strong communication and organizational skills
