A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy coverage for multiple maternity leaves within an elementary school setting in the Saint Paul, MN area. This role offers an engaging chance to support students with diverse speech and language needs, including those in Setting III CDC classrooms. The position follows a 3:1 service delivery model: three weeks of direct therapy services followed by one week of indirect services, focusing solely on therapy without evaluation duties.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite speech and language therapy services to elementary students.
- Manage a caseload typical of elementary schools, including students with moderate to severe communication needs.
- Coordinate services across multiple locations during specified time periods.
- Collaborate with educational teams to support individualized student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in indirect service activities during weeks assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
- Eligibility or preference for Candidates seeking Clinical Fellowship (CF) status; Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) applicants are not considered.
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, including students in specialized classrooms.
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to diverse student needs and settings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Location & Schedule:
- Onsite within elementary schools located in the Saint Paul, MN area.
- M-F schedule, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract duration: December 15, 2025, through May 29, 2026.
- Specific service coverage includes several schools with varied start/end dates across the contract period.
