A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide maternity leave coverage in a dynamic elementary school setting located in Anoka, MN. These contract positions offer the opportunity to deliver vital speech-language services supporting student communication development. Assignments include options for partial virtual service delivery and are tailored around specific caseload needs.
Position Details:
- Location: Elementary schools in Anoka, MN area
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Duration: Varies by caseload
- Caseload Coverage Options:
- December 15 to March 23 – 0.2 FTE virtual coverage (Elementary School in Brooklyn Center)
- Early/mid January through early/mid April – 0.4 FTE virtual coverage (Elementary School in Champlin Park), exact dates TBD
- January 28 to March 16 – 0.2 FTE virtual coverage (Elementary School in Blaine)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged children
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student progress
- Documenting student performance and developing individualized treatment plans
- Maintaining licensure and certifications required by state education regulations
- Adhering to caseload guidelines and ensuring compliance with state laws regarding virtual work hours
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or 4 Education Certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working within school settings or familiarity with school-based SLP roles
- Candidates must not be Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- For virtual candidates: currently working an assignment in Minnesota and able to comply with state work-hour restrictions
