A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide maternity leave coverage at an elementary school in Derby, Kansas. This temporary contract position runs from March 2026 through May 22, 2026, offering an opportunity to work with a dedicated caseload in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a full-time caseload of approximately 40 elementary school students
- Deliver speech-language services totaling 1,470 minutes per week
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students’ communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as necessary
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license or certification appropriate for school settings
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in elementary school settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build rapport with children and collaborate with educational teams
