Job Description:
Blazer Jobs is seeking both Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join a school district in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity to provide critical support to students with communication challenges, ranging from articulation and language delays to complex speech and social communication needs. Clinicians will work collaboratively with special education teams, general educators, and families to ensure that students are receiving services aligned with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Whether you're a licensed SLP or a certified SLPA, you'll be stepping into a supportive and dynamic school environment where your impact is both visible and valued.
Key Responsibilities (SLP):

Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to determine eligibility for services
-
Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with the special education team
-
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
-
Consult with teachers and staff to support classroom integration

Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services provided

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning
Key Responsibilities (SLPA):
-
Deliver speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
-
Assist with implementing IEP goals and collecting data on student performance
-
Prepare therapy materials and adapt resources as needed
-
Document services provided in accordance with district and supervisory guidelines
-
Communicate effectively with supervising SLP, staff, and families
Minimum Requirements:
SLP Requirements:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
-
Active Alaska SLP license (or eligibility)
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY status under supervision

Experience with school-aged populations preferred
-
Ability to pass required background checks and fingerprinting
SLPA Requirements:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
-
Valid Alaska SLPA certification or license
-
Supervision agreement with a licensed SLP in place (or willingness to obtain one)

Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
-
Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting
