This contract position runs through June 5, 2026, providing essential support within a dynamic Connections program designed for students with moderate to profound communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to elementary students utilizing AAC devices.
- Manage a caseload within a large program comprising a team of 3 SLPs and 2 Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
- Demonstrate proficiency in programming and supporting multiple AAC devices.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized communication plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and California education credentials.
- Expertise in AAC devices, including hands-on experience with programming and customization.
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage a caseload with students having moderate to profound communication challenges.
Location: On-site at an elementary school in Santa Ana, California.
