A specialized short-term role is available to provide speech-language pathology services for a unique high school program serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This position focuses on supporting personalized education and skill-building for independence in a supportive, non-traditional environment.
Location: Ludlow, Massachusetts
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, 2-3 days weekly
Contract Duration: July 6, 2026 – August 7, 2026, with potential extension for the 2026/27 school year
Program: Compass High Program at Ludlow High School
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to high school students within a specialized program for ASD and learning differences
- Provide AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) support experience, focusing on implementation rather than conducting AAC evaluations
- Collaborate with educational and clinical teams to create individualized therapy goals and strategies that promote independence and communication skills
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in accordance with state and program requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, meeting all state requirements for school-based practice
- Experience working with high school students, particularly those with ASD or similar learning differences
- Familiarity with AAC tools and intervention methods
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary educational settings
