A Leave of Absence contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary students in a school setting. This position requires a credentialed SLP with expertise in school-based therapy and certification in speech-language pathology (CCC).

Location: Amherst, MA
Setting: Elementary School (Grades K-4)
Duration: Immediate start through February 13, 2026
Hours: Approximately 17 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language services to students through small group sessions, individual therapy, and support within inclusion classrooms.
  • Conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals tailored to student needs.
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and families.
  • Document student progress diligently and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with district standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current state certification/license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with relevant school-based experience.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to work with children in Grades K-4 within a school environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with educators and families.
  • Availability to fulfill district onboarding requirements prior to starting the contract.
