School Speech and Language Pathologist | Mescalero, New Mexico
Provide expert speech-language pathology services in a K-12 school setting located in Mescalero, NM. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and focuses on delivering comprehensive evaluations and tailored therapy plans to support students with speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments of students presenting with speech and language difficulties to identify individual needs.
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans aligned with students’ unique goals.
- Facilitate therapeutic sessions aimed at improving communication skills.
- Track and document student progress thoroughly to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with educators, healthcare providers, and other professionals to foster an integrated approach to student care.
- Involve and educate families to support consistent therapy engagement and carryover at home.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in New Mexico.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
To qualify, candidates must hold an active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology and possess or be pursuing a Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
