A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support elementary students in grades K-6, providing comprehensive speech and language services. This opportunity involves serving a caseload of approximately 40-45 students focusing on articulation and language development in both onsite and teletherapy settings.

Location: Joliet, IL
Setting: Elementary School
Duration: Contract, 30-day term with potential renewal
Schedule: Approximately 32.5 hours per week (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy to students in grades K-6 with articulation and language disorders
  • Manage a caseload of 40-45 students, providing individualized support and progress monitoring
  • Implement evidence-based intervention both in person and via teletherapy platforms
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational setting
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress in compliance with state and district guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, specifically within school settings
  • Ability to provide services both onsite and through virtual platforms
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload effectively
