A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Aurora, IL. This contract position runs during the current school year (CSY), with an initial 30-day term and the possibility of renewal based on performance and fit. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM, providing consistent weekday hours.

This role involves managing a caseload of 40-50 students, delivering individualized speech and language therapy to support their communication and academic success. The ideal candidate will hold or be eligible for credentials such as SLP - CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence), SLP - CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year), or licensure as an SLP within the school setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP certification and licensure appropriate for schools
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school environment
  • Ability to assess, plan, and deliver speech and language therapy for students with diverse needs
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a sizeable caseload efficiently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy tailored to students’ specific goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in meetings and professional development as required
