Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within an educational setting in the Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg area of Pennsylvania. This full-time contract position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse Early Childhood or Elementary caseload, making a meaningful impact on student development through targeted speech and language interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide consultation as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Bethlehem, PA with caseload in Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg areas
- Full-time commitment of 35+ hours per week, typically during standard school hours
