About the Opportunity
Are you a dynamic and adaptable Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) ready to join a supportive team in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area? We have multiple immediate openings for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year and are looking to interview and hire ASAP!
This is an excellent opportunity for SLPs who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are flexible with caseload assignments, as student needs are constantly evolving. We're seeking professionals with strong communication and problem-solving skills to provide essential services to our students.
We prefer full-time candidates (1.2 FTE / 39 hours per week) to best meet our district's needs, but we will consider part-time applicants. For Clinical Fellows (CFs), we are prepared to provide dedicated supervision to help you achieve your ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive speech and language services to a diverse caseload of 40-55 students (specific grade levels and needs will vary, requiring flexibility).

Conduct thorough evaluations, interpret assessment results, and write compliant reports for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to student needs across various settings.

Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in individual, small group, and classroom-based settings.

Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other school personnel to integrate communication goals into daily learning.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and IEPs, adhering to district and state guidelines.

Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations.

Adapt therapy activities and strategies to suit the diverse needs and learning styles of students.

For CFs: Actively engage in supervision, adhering to all ASHA and state requirements to earn your CCC-SLP.
Qualifications

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Must have active New Mexico state licensure (NMRLD) to start.

New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) licensure for Speech-Language Pathologists (educational certification) can be in process upon start; however, candidates must obtain both for continued employment in NM schools.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply as supervision will be provided.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing caseloads and school needs.

Prior experience in a school setting is a plus, but highly motivated new graduates/CFs are encouraged.
