Remote Speech Therapist Role - Albuquerque, NM

Position Details
We are recruiting a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide virtual therapy services to approximately 46-56 students across various educational levels from preschool through middle school. This 35.5-hour weekly position utilizes our state-of-the-art virtual platform to deliver individualized interventions addressing diverse communication needs. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, family collaboration, and innovative approaches to virtual therapy delivery.
Key Functions
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments using virtual evaluation methods
- Develop targeted intervention plans based on individual student needs and IEP requirements
- Provide direct therapy services through engaging virtual sessions with interactive digital tools
- Collaborate extensively with educational teams, families, and related service providers
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, therapy outcomes, and service documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional expertise to educational planning decisions
- Offer consultation services to teachers regarding communication supports and classroom strategies
- Stay current with virtual therapy best practices and continuing education requirements
Student Population Overview
The caseload includes students with varied communication challenges such as articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, pragmatic language difficulties, and voice disorders. Students represent diverse cultural backgrounds and learning profiles, requiring individualized and culturally responsive intervention approaches. The virtual format provides opportunities for increased parent participation and home-school collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from accredited academic institution
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology
- Current New Mexico state licensure for Speech Language Pathology practice
- Minimum two years of experience providing speech therapy in school-based settings
- Competency with virtual therapy platforms and digital assessment technologies
- Strong communication skills for virtual collaboration with students, families, and professional teams
- Ability to adapt evidence-based interventions for virtual delivery environments
