An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide essential support in an elementary school setting. This contract position is designed to cover a leave, with specific dates and a flexible schedule tailored to meet the needs of students in mixed-grade classrooms and diverse learning environments.
Location: Brecksville, OH
Setting: Elementary School (serving students with various disabilities in least restrictive environments)
Contract Duration and Schedule:
- November 19-20
- December 1-19
- January 6-8
- Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Typical workdays are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with flexibility offered to accommodate scheduling needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized speech-language therapy to students across multiple grade levels, supporting communication development and progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborating with educational staff to integrate speech services within classroom activities and support inclusive practices
- Conducting assessments, documenting student progress, and communicating effectively with educators and families to promote student success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist, with valid CCC credentials preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged children across a range of speech and language disorders
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to various disabilities and learning environments, including Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) settings
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to manage caseload and coordinate with school personnel
