School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Pittsfield, Massachusetts
A dynamic opportunity exists for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Pittsfield, MA. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student communication development.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification with Credentialed Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience providing SLP services within a K-12 educational environment
- Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment, intervention, and documentation practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and deliver speech and language therapy to students across K-12 grades
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address student-specific communication needs
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development and review
- Provide consultation and training to staff and families regarding speech and language strategies
