School-Based Therapist – Full-Time – Midway, NM
Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a compassionate and qualified School-Based Therapist for a full-time, on-site position in a supportive school district located in Midway, New Mexico. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to help K–12 students thrive emotionally, behaviorally, and academically within an inclusive, team-oriented school environment.
Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health concerns

Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to meet each student’s unique needs
-
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support
-
Participate in the creation and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
-
Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with district and state standards
-
Promote a positive school climate through crisis response, staff training, and preventative mental health initiatives
Qualifications:
-
Active New Mexico license as a School-Based Therapist (e.g., LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or equivalent credential)
-
Experience in school-based or pediatric mental health settings preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
-
Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Passion for delivering inclusive, student-focused mental health care
