Full Time School Autism Specialist Position in Medford, OR
Autism Specialist – Full-Time | Medford, OR | 2025–2026 School Year
A fantastic school district located in Medford, OR is seeking a full-time Autism Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to students, helping to foster academic achievement and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and instruction.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and services to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based on individual needs and IEP goals
-
Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student development and ensure accommodations are implemented
-
Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans and evidence-based instructional strategies
-
Monitor and track student progress, behaviors, and educational goals through accurate documentation
-
Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insight on behavioral, social, and instructional needs
-
Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment tailored to the unique needs of students with autism
Qualifications:

Valid Oregon teaching license with appropriate endorsement in Special Education or related field

Preferred: Autism Specialist certification or equivalent experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Experience working in school settings or with students on the autism spectrum
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
-
Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), PECS, social skills training, and other autism-specific methodologies
