Job Opportunity: Autism Specialist – Full Time Position in Medford, OR

Location: Medford, OR
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week
Contract Dates: August 18, 2025 – June 5, 2026 (2025–2026 School Year)
Caseload: Approximately 10–15 students (subject to assignment)

Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified Autism Specialist for a full-time, school-based role in Medford, OR. This position is ideal for a compassionate educator dedicated to supporting the academic and functional needs of students with autism spectrum disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support in academic and non-academic areas, tailored to the individual needs of students with autism

  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement instructional and behavioral strategies aligned with district and IEP requirements

  • Regularly communicate with parents and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate support strategies and track progress

  • Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement and behavior using both formal and informal evaluation tools

  • Prepare for and actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the planning of specialized services and accommodations

Requirements:

  • Valid Oregon certification as an Autism Specialist, Special Education Teacher, or appropriate related credential

  • Experience working with students with autism in school settings strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for autism, including ABA principles, structured teaching, and assistive technologies

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams and maintain detailed documentation
