Autism Specialist (Full-Time, Onsite Only)
A school district in Medford, OR is seeking a qualified and passionate Autism Specialist to join its team for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, onsite-only role supporting K–12 students across the autism spectrum.
About the Role:

Provide consultation, direct support, and assessment for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
-
Collaborate with SPED teachers, SLPs, psychologists, and general education staff
-
Help develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
-
Support students in both general education and self-contained settings
-
Conduct autism-specific evaluations and assessments
Required Qualifications:
-
Valid Oregon TSPC License (or ability to obtain)

One of the following backgrounds:
-
Master’s-level SPED Teacher, SLP, or School Psychologist
-
OR a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with strong autism-specific training and public education experience
Minimum 3 years of experience working with students on the autism spectrum
Demonstrated experience across the full autism severity continuum (including non-speaking, high-needs students and those in inclusive settings)
Familiarity with autism assessment tools and evaluation procedures
Preferred Attributes:
Experience supporting both elementary and secondary grade levels
Expertise in supporting students in both general education and life-skills/self-contained classrooms
Strong collaboration and communication skills
