Role Summary
As a School-Based Audiologist in Los Angeles, CA, you will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative audiology services to young children who use hearing aids or cochlear implants. You will collaborate with IEP teams and families to ensure students have access to appropriate auditory support necessary for learning.
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations.
• Program, troubleshoot, and manage hearing aids and cochlear implant equipment.
• Provide auditory-verbal therapy as appropriate.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans.
• Provide training, resources, and support to staff and caregivers.
Requirements (California)
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology.
• California state licensure as an Audiologist.
• LSLS certification required.
• AVT certification required.
• AVEd certification required.
• Experience working with young children using hearing aids or cochlear implants preferred.
• School-based experience preferred.
Employment Options
Local Contract
• Full-time, on-site in Los Angeles, CA.
• Hourly rate: depending on experience.
Travel Contract
• Full-time, on-site in Los Angeles, CA.
• Weekly take-home pay: depending on experience.
