Blazer Jobs is now interviewing for a licensed School Audiologist to support a school district in the Chesapeake, VA area. This is a full-time, school-based position for the 2025–2026 school year. The role is open to both local candidates seeking a consistent placement and travel professionals looking for a competitive contract with benefits.

Position Overview:
You will assess, diagnose, and manage hearing and balance disorders in students across grade levels. The Audiologist will work as part of the special education team, ensuring students have the hearing support and accommodations necessary for educational success. Duties include conducting evaluations, recommending and fitting hearing assistive devices, collaborating with teachers and families, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audiological evaluations for students K–12

  • Fit and maintain hearing aids and assistive listening devices

  • Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on IEPs and 504 plans

  • Educate school staff and families on hearing support strategies

  • Maintain timely documentation of services and progress

Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology

  • Active Virginia Audiology License (or eligibility)

  • ASHA CCC-A preferred

  • Previous school-based experience preferred

  • Must pass background check and fingerprinting
